Love and Collage (Ai Kora)

Love and Collage is about a boy, Hachibei Maeda who envisioned the perfect girlfriend, from the shape of her legs to the sound of her voice to the size of her breasts to even the appearance of her eyes. Even though he envisioned the perfect woman for him—he’s still a pervert. Anyway he moves to the big city in search of the women who have his “ideal parts.” Once he arrives to Tokyo, he finds out that the boy dormitory burned down. Luckily, the teacher in charge of the girl’s dorm with a few girls already living it offers him a place to stay. Each of the girls in the dorm including the teacher possesses one of his ideal parts. The story basically revolves around Hachibei’s encounter with his ideal parts and his relationship with each girl.

Genres: Comedy, Ecchi, Harem, Romance, School Life.

* Even though it’s a little ecchi. It’s not that bad. I for one enjoyed this manga; I just overlooked the rare ecchi scenes.

Characters:

Hachibei Maeda

He has ideal body parts for almost ach part of the body. His dream is to find the girl who possesses all the parts.  Once he finds a girl with a part, he becomes extremely protective of that part (more of the part than the girl). Usually he is a simple minded, soft guy but he goes crazy if you mess with his ideal parts. He learns to let go of his desire for a part in order for that girl’s chance of happiness. In the end, he finds someone who he loves that exceeds his love for parts.

I am gonna be totally honest here, despite his perverted ways, Hachibei is my number 1 favorite character. I would give him a Oscar. He is not a Bishonen in my eyes, but he is unique and funny and sometimes even charming. Whenever I am upset, I reread some of his scenes because his personality is just... just....GOLD. XD

The Girls

 

Tsubame Ameyagi

She is the landlord and a teacher at the school Hachibei goes to. She had Hachi’s ideal legs. She is super easy going, she loves drinking and she’s a dare devil. She had a boyfriend whom she loved a lot but unfortunately he died in a motorcycle accident.

Sakurako Tenmaku

She is a freshman with Hachibei. She lives in the dorm and has Hachibei’s ideal eyes. She loves saving money and hates men. Her previous boyfriend tried to rape her so she is traumatized.  It eventually fell upon Hachi to help her get over this trauma.

Yukari Tsukino

She goes to middle school and has Hachi’s ideal breasts. She is the “glasses” character in the story, shy, calm, and emotional. She eventually falls in love with Hachi but he states that he doesn’t understand love but love for parts. This doesn’t make a difference; instead it makes her love for him grow.

 Kirino Ootori

She is also a freshman and has Hachibei’s ideal voice. She is part of a ninja family and she is always focused on training when she is not singing secretly. Hachi inspires her to go for dreams and she also falls for him but moves on when he rejects her.

Other People

Haiji Kinkuno

He is very popular with girls because of his “all love” personality. Unfortunately for Hachibei, Kikuno fell in love with him.

Ayame Yatsuhashi

She is a rich girl who has Hachi’s ideal waist. She doesn’t like losing and eats to the point of obesity when she is upset.

Ryuunosuke Shibusawa

Has a part fetish like Hachibei. They usually team up together for perverted stuff.

Sajima Kousei

A teacher who had a part love and learned the consequences of that kind of love. He tries to make Hachibei realized the dangers of a part love.
