Kanna's Pov: January 2012

Okay I am on another Gintama high-don't judge but after reading the latest chapters and watching the latest episodes I was like "I whip my hair back and forth" (Willow Smith "Whip my Hair). Then I saw the Hijikata Arc/ Thorny Arc and I was like "Mitsuba please come back!!!!!!!!!!!" I mean come on, it's about Hijikata's past, and Mitsuba is his first love. Anyway this post is mainly about the host club episode full of awesomeness

Basically, the Yorozuya and the Shinsengumi were asked to help the Host club by Kyoshiro. Obviously things don't go well...

I was so happy when Tsukuyo recieved more air time by being in the opening and ending and in more eps.:)

Wow I am finally making a post!!! Anyway this manga/anime/drama is called Ouran High School Host Club as you can see from the title and the picture above.
This review is based on the anime and manga, I will do the drama later. I would highly recommend this anime/manga to anyone. It will make you laugh, cry and laugh some more. Ouran is extremely funny, and at the same time it focuses on the power of family and friends and that rich people have problems of their own.

It's about a girl, Haruhi getting accepted into a prestigious high school called Ouran. There she stumbles into the host club where she meets the kinglike president Tamaki, the Devious Vice President Kyoya, and the rest of the club members. After breaking a 80,000 vase she is forced to join as the Host Club's Dog. Eventually she is promoted to Host but with one sacrifice: she must keep her identity as a girl a secret. Throughout her journey as a host, she begins to discover herself and her ability to changes lives as a host of the elite Ouran High School Host Club.

Genres: Shojo, romance, comedy, school life, harem, gender bender

CHARACTERS:

Haruhi Fujioka: Haruhi is a straightforward poor girl who has dreams of becoming a lawyer. She lost her mother (who was also a lawyer) as a very young age but that didn't stop her from being a amazing cook. She tends to ignore the fact that she is a girl which leads to the club members and her transvestite father worrying about her. She is a smart girl but she can be slow at times. She is always questioning the weirdness of the Host Club but manages to play along with them.

Tamaki Suoh: He is the "Handsome Prince-like president" character in the story. He is a narcissist, a humanitarian, and a smart idiot. He may do well in school but he can be a idiot. He acts like a child and he always argues with the twins. He takes the idea of family seriously to the point where he gave a everyone a family role for example he is "Daddy" and Kyoya is "Mommy." He wishes to help people and make them smile which is the main reason he started the club. He is a huge fan of "commoner lifestyle."

Kyoya Ootori: He is the Vice President of the Host Club. He is calculating, devious, a user and cunning. He basically makes the decisions event-wise and financial-wise in the club. He is insanely smart and poses as a huge threat-so don't mess with him. He is the youngest of his brothers which makes it almost impossible for becoming the heir to his father's empire. Thanks to Tamaki, he sees hope in his future. He is Tamaki's Best friend.

The Hitachiin Twins: Kaoru and Hikaru

Hikaru and Kaoru are the twins at the club. They may not be as cunning as Kyoya but they know how to fool the rest of the club and piss off Tamaki. Despite their cheerful exterior, the twins are very solemn and they have a hard time expressing their feelings. Hikaru is the older twin but has a far more difficult time expressing his feelings than his brother. Kaoru loves his brother and is willing to forgo anything for him. They always play which is one is the Hikaru game.

Mitsukuni Haninozuka "Honey sempai": He is sweet as cake! I mean he should, He eats cake like there's no tomorrow. He may look like a cute elementary school student but he is really the great Mitsukuni Haninozuka the legendary fighter of mass destruction! He hates to solve things with violence and only uses his skills as a last resort. He doesn't want to live his life as a fighter and inherit his family's dojo instead he wants to do things he loves such as being around sweets and toys.

Takashi Morinozuka "Mori Sempai": He is very tall and silent, oh yeah he is also the cousin of Honey. Because of that, Mori is very protective of Honey. He gets very (silently) emotional when Honey is hurt. After Honey, Mori is the strongest in the club. Like Honey, he practices martial arts but he is also excellent in Kendo.
