The drama follows basically the same story but with a few changes to accommodate timings and limited episodes. The drama mainly follows the anime. It focuses a lot on Tamaki and Haruhi instead of the group as a whole. I thought they would do something big with Honey being a martial artist and such. Speaking of Honey, HE'S TALLER THAN HARUHI. The makers could've at least used a child to play the role. The effects at first were very funny but they got eeehhhhhh when they were repeated almost every other episode. 11 episodes is not enough for Ouran because it skipped through so much. I didn't like how Haruhi appeared at the end I mean she wasn't hiding her identity as a girl. But I am glad they tried to incorporate parts of the manga such as SPOILER Tamaki's stalker and such. And each of the characters fit their role well even Honey. I enjoyed the guy playing Tamaki because he was perfect for the role even though at first he didn't look like it. I would give it around 3.5 stars because it was entertaining but it did not match up to the awesomeness of the anime and to the awesometasticness of the manga.
